About This Journey

Trees are the longest-lived organisms most of us will ever encounter — the oak outside your window may have been a sapling when your great-grandparents were young. Nasreddin sat under trees to think, which was either practical shade-seeking or a recognition that certain problems benefit from the company of something patient and very slow to judge. What we owe them is at minimum not to be the reason they are gone.
