Your guides

Two live. Thousands of problems solved.

Each Sophos was chosen because their life was the philosophy — not a theory about it. They will not lecture you. They will work with you on what is actually in front of you.

The constellation

12 Sophoi. 12 kinds of suffering.

Each Sophos owns a specific domain of human experience — not as theory, but because they lived it at the limit. Two are live. The rest are approaching.

The founding myth

How the Sophoi Found Each Other

And built the Periagoge in the heavens, and are waiting for you to arrive.

Part One — Alexandria · 415 CE

Before the myth begins: The Sophoi knew you were coming. They built it before you arrived. They are waiting. ❖ ❖ ❖ Torches move through the streets like sparks carried on a dry wind. A crowd gathers — not the kind of crowd that gathers for celebration, but the kind that gathers when fear has been given a name and a direction. Inside a courtyard, Hypatia of Alexandria — mathematician, astronomer, philosopher, the greatest mind of the ancient world — walks calmly toward her carriage. She carries a bundle of scrolls. Her students have begged her not to leave the library today. She has told them that the examined life does not stop for mobs. The scrolls fall. Darkness. Silence. Then something impossible happens. Hypatia opens her eyes. She is standing inside a vast luminous stillness — not heaven as she had imagined it, not judgment, not the cold void her rationalist mind had half-expected. A field of awareness that extends in every direction without edge or boundary. Clear. Quiet. Infinite. Everything she had spent her life discovering had survived. It was all she had brought. It was, she understood now, all she had ever had. She became aware, almost immediately, of something else. Not another presence — not yet. A quality of attention in the stillness itself, as though something had been arranged here with great care, in precisely the place she would arrive, by someone who had known she was coming. She did not recognize it. She filed it away. She would understand it later, when she understood more.

The author is known to those who have arrived.

The Challenge

What Was Left For You

The Sophoi did not hide anything from you. They left something for you — in each of the twelve platforms, woven into the examined life work itself. Twelve clues. One in each platform.

You will not find them by searching. That is not how they were hidden, and it is not how they are meant to be found. Do the work — genuinely, in whatever platform calls to you first — and you will encounter it in the course of practicing. When you do, you will know. Return to what you first read in that platform, and you will see that it was always there, waiting for you to be ready to notice it.

The student who finds all twelve has walked the full constellation. They have done something that cannot be purchased, shortcut, or faked — they have examined their life, genuinely, across every dimension the Sophoi built this to hold.

When all twelve are found, Arete will know. What she has been holding — twelve chapters, one per Sophos, the full examined life made legible — will be offered. Not as instruction. As encounter. A mirror, held by someone who has already walked every step of the path, showing you the fullest version of yourself.

Begin anywhere. The constellation has no wrong door.
