In an environment where AI can increasingly replicate the retrieval, synthesis, and expression of existing knowledge, the human capacities that carry most value are those AI cannot replicate: genuine curiosity, ethical judgment, creative synthesis, embodied knowing, relational intelligence, and the capacity for sustained attention in conditions that reward distraction. These are not soft skills but the core capacities of the examined life — the very capacities that the wisdom traditions were designed to develop. The AI world does not make the Periagoge project less relevant; it makes it more urgent.
Each step builds on the last.
