Vipassana and the body

Vipassana meditation asks you to turn direct, curious attention toward the sensations moving through your body—heat, tension, tingling, ease—without trying to change them, which teaches the nervous system that you can be present with experience and survive it. This foundational practice dissolves the gap between knowing something intellectually and feeling it in your bones: that all experience is constantly shifting and that you are not broken by what arises.
