Religious traditions and LGBTQ+

Many religious traditions contain teachings that condemn LGBTQ+ people, creating a genuine conflict of belonging: being told your deepest relationships are sinful, or that your body is shameful, by communities that are otherwise home. Some traditions are evolving toward inclusion; others aren't, which means LGBTQ+ people often must choose between spiritual roots and self-preservation, or forge new spiritual paths entirely.
