Women and intellectual history

Women's absence from intellectual history is not because they failed to think but because systems of knowledge-making excluded them, erased their contributions, or punished them for claiming authority—a loss of ideas we can only partially recover. Restoring this history reveals how much we lost and how much current thinking remains distorted by the silencing of half of humanity.
