Information as River, Not Destination

Treating information flow as a continuous current you move through rather than a destination to be completely reached, releasing the need for total knowledge.

Laozi
Why It Matters

The Tao itself is often described as an inexhaustible flow—never fully known, always in motion, infinite in scope. Attempting to fully know the Tao is like trying to drink an entire river. Similarly, digital information is infinite and constantly replenished; the attempt to stay completely informed is structurally impossible. FOMO intensifies this impossible task, creating anxiety about information you haven't encountered. Laozi teaches that wisdom comes not from comprehensive knowledge but from understanding the nature and patterns of flow itself. Applied here: stop trying to know everything that circulates through digital networks. Instead, develop sensitivity to patterns and wisdom about what genuinely serves you. You can trust that important information will reach you through natural channels while maintaining peace about the vast rivers of content you necessarily miss. This reframes 'missing out' from failure into realistic acceptance of existence within abundance.
