The Uncarved Block Principle

The uncarved block (pu) represents original nature before division and specialization. Laozi praises this state: undivided, whole, responsive to all circumstances. In modern anticipation, we prematurely carve ourselves into narrow specialties, losing peripheral vision. The most powerful anticipators maintain beginner's mind and cross-domain literacy. They haven't committed exclusively to one future. This principle directly opposes the current obsession with specialist expertise.
