Eka-bhava means one emotion or one state. Mirabai practiced emotional eka-bhava: she funneled all her longing, all her rage, all her grief into a single direction—toward Krishna. Rather than fragmenting her feelings across multiple relationships, betrayals, or grievances, she unified them. This is powerful psychology: diffuse rage becomes depression, spreads as resentment, contaminates relationships. Focused rage becomes purposeful. Mirabai's practice teaches that grief and anger are most transformative when concentrated, not scattered. This doesn't mean obsession or rigidity, but rather clarity of direction. When you practice eka-bhava with your rage, you ask: What is this anger really protecting or fighting for? Who or what deserves this intensity?
