Samadhi as Mathematical Insight and Unity

Samadhi, the culmination of yogic practice where subject and object merge in unified awareness, finds its parallel in the mathematician's moment of insight when disparate concepts suddenly cohere into elegant unity. Patanjali describes samadhi as the state where the mind becomes so absorbed in its object that the boundary between knower and known dissolves, revealing truth directly.
