Love as Organizing Principle

Rabia al-Adawiyya taught that love of the Divine transcends fear and obligation, becoming the purest motive for action. In community organizing, this translates to a practice where organizers genuinely love their neighbors and communities rather than viewing them as means to political ends. This concept reframes organizing work from transactional activism into relational practice rooted in care.
