Radical Availability to Community Need

True stewardship means positioning ourselves to respond to others' needs with presence, flexibility, and genuine care.

Rabia
Why It Matters

Rabia's devotion manifested in complete availability to others—healing the sick, teaching the seeking, sitting with the suffering. For Christian stewardship, this concept challenges us to consider how available we actually are. Do we steward our time and energy in ways that allow genuine responsiveness to community needs, or do we over-commit to projects and possessions that leave us unavailable? Radical availability doesn't mean codependency or endless yes-saying, but rather aligning our schedules, resources, and emotional capacity around what matters: presence with people. This might mean simplifying our lives, saying no to good things to say yes to essential ones, or cultivating margins in our schedules. Stewardship from this angle asks: Are we stewarding our existence in ways that allow us to notice and respond to the sacred opportunities before us? Can others actually access us, or are we too defended, busy, or distracted?
