Religion and science

Religion and science need not conflict, though the relationship is more complex than either scientific reductionism or fundamentalist denial suggests: they answer different kinds of questions. The real challenge arises when either domain claims authority over the other—when science dismisses meaning and purpose as illusion, or when religion resists empirical findings about how nature actually works.
