When peer groups develop unspoken hierarchies

My research cohort started with six people committed to meeting monthly to discuss our projects but two people consistently dominate every conversation and the rest of us have gradually stopped preparing or contributing. We all still show up but I can feel us turning into an audience for the same two voices and I don't know if they realize what's happened.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group has allowed informal power dynamics to override their stated purpose.
