When families struggle to maintain playfulness as children grow up

My teenage kids and I used to play games and watch movies together but now they're always on their phones and when I suggest doing something fun they act like I'm being cringe. I know they're growing up but I feel like we've lost our ability to enjoy each other's company and everything between us has become about rules and responsibilities.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Parent and children have fallen into rigid roles that exclude joy, with both sides unsure how to bridge the gap between authority and authentic connection.
