Our friend group used to have game nights every month and we'd stay up until 2am laughing and being ridiculous, but somewhere along the way it turned into everyone checking their phones and leaving by 10pm to get ready for work the next day. We still meet up but it feels like we're all going through the motions of friendship without any of the actual joy, and I don't know if anyone else has noticed or if they care.
