When family members have different responses to shared wellness practices

My sister and I decided to start a gratitude and goal-setting practice together at the beginning of the year, and while she's thriving with daily journaling and has this amazing momentum, I keep falling behind and feeling like I'm failing at something that's supposed to make me feel better. Now our weekly check-ins feel like me apologizing while she tries not to seem too excited about her progress, and I think we're both starting to dread what was supposed to bring us closer.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people attempting to grow together discover that positive practices can create unexpected shame and distance when progress isn't equal.
