Our book club started as a way to explore big questions together, but it's become dominated by two members who seem to need to have the 'right' answers to everything and shut down other people's wondering with their expertise. The rest of us feel like we can't explore ideas freely anymore, but we don't know how to address this without seeming anti-intellectual.
More people experience this than they realize.
The very expertise that could enrich inquiry is instead being used to foreclose the open exploration that makes learning alive.
“Where Are You with Wonder as pedagogy?”
Peri can explain why this happens, help you decide if this is the right situation for you, and point toward the right journey or coach.
If this sounds familiar, the Library can help you find the bigger picture.
