When family curiosity becomes competitive performance

Our family has always prided itself on being learners, but now that the kids are teenagers, every dinner conversation turns into this weird competition about who knows what, and I think we've accidentally turned curiosity into performance instead of genuine wonder. My daughter said she's tired of us always 'making everything educational' and I realized we might be killing the very thing we're trying to nurture.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A learning-oriented family has unconsciously transformed wonder into achievement, creating pressure where there should be play.
