Scenario

When interfaith couples navigate assumptions about religious identity

My husband and I are the only interfaith couple in our mosque community and people keep making comments about when I'm going to convert, not realizing he's the Muslim and I'm the Christian. We laugh about it privately but we're both getting tired of correcting assumptions and wondering if we actually belong anywhere.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The exhaustion of constantly disrupting people's stereotypes about who belongs to what faith, while questioning your own place in both communities.
