When community gardens face neglect and unequal participation

My neighbors and I started a community garden three years ago and now half the plots are abandoned but the people who left won't give them up, and those of us still tending are burning out from doing all the shared maintenance work. We keep having these polite conversations that go nowhere while the whole thing slowly falls apart.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The gap between collective ideals and individual follow-through is creating resentment and threatening something that could flourish with honest reckoning.
