Privacy Policy

Who this policy covers
This policy describes how PRAIY LLC (“Periagoge,” “we,” “us”) handles personal data across all of our services: AskHypatia, AskAurelius, and every other Sophos in the Periagoge constellation. All Sophoi are operated by PRAIY LLC.
What we collect
Information you give us directly:- Account information: email address, name (optional), subscription tier, payment information (processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers).
- Onboarding responses: the life areas you select, your stated goals, and your initial profile when you join.
- Session conversations: the messages you send to a Sophos and the responses you receive. These are stored to enable session continuity and, where you consent, to improve our services.
- Community content: posts and replies you make in the community space.
- Support communications: emails or in-app messages you send to us.
Information collected automatically:- Usage patterns: which courses, prompts, and tools you access; session frequency and duration; feature engagement.
- HAIX dimensions: aggregate behavioral signals across 18 examined-life dimensions, derived from your engagement patterns (not your conversation content). Used to personalize your experience and improve our content.
- Device and technical data: IP address (for security and fraud prevention, not marketing), browser type, and basic device information.

How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Periagoge service and all Sophoi experiences.
- To personalize your experience (content recommendations, session context, engagement scoring).
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
- To send transactional emails (welcome, billing, password reset) via Resend.
- To monitor for fraud, abuse, and unauthorized scraping.
- To improve our AI systems, using aggregated and de-identified data unless you have explicitly consented to individual session use.
We do
not:
- Sell your personal data to any third party.
- Use your session conversations to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
- Display targeted advertising on our platform or in our emails.
- Share your data with other Periagoge users or the public without your permission.
How long we keep your data
- Account data: retained while your account is active, and for 90 days after deletion to allow recovery.
- Session conversations: retained indefinitely to enable session continuity unless you request deletion.
- Billing records: retained for 7 years as required by US tax law.
- Security logs (IP, scraper signals): retained for 90 days, then purged.
Third parties who process your data
Your rights
All users:- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Note that billing records may be retained as required by law.
- Portability: Request your session and profile data in a machine-readable format.
- AI training opt-out: Opt out of your data being used to improve our AI systems. Manage this in your account settings.
California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect and share, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the “sale” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@periagoge.ai.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): Our legal basis for processing is performance of contract (account and subscription management), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement), and your consent (AI training improvement). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Data security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, row-level security on our database, rate limiting and bot detection to prevent unauthorized access.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Children
Periagoge is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at privacy@periagoge.ai and we will delete the account promptly.
Changes to this policy
We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The current version is always available at periagoge.ai/legal/privacy.
Note for PRAIY LLC: Review the HAIX dimensions description and AI training language with legal counsel. The GDPR legitimate interests basis should have a documented Legitimate Interests Assessment (LIA) on file. Anthropic’s own privacy policy and data processing terms should be verified to ensure your downstream use is accurately described here.
