How do I build a civilian life on my military experience?
You have done something a lot of veterans struggle to do: you are treating your service as a foundation, not a lost past. That is exactly right. The discipline, the judgment, the way you read people and situations, all of it came with you. It is yours to build on. The goal now is not to leave the service behind or to keep reliving it. It is to let it be the ground under a life that is fully your own. You get to choose what you build up there. The military shaped how you work; it does not have to decide what you work on. That part is yours. Keep one question in front of you as you build: what do I actually want this life to be for? Answer it a little more each month. You already know how to be disciplined toward a mission. Now the mission is a life of your own choosing, and you are more prepared for that than most.
