How do I care for everyone without disappearing myself?
You have already found something most people in your place never do. You hold work, kids, and aging parents, and you are still here, still yourself. That is not luck. That is boundaries and help, used on purpose. Do not lose sight of how hard-won that is. The danger in this season is that caring for everyone slowly erases the one doing the caring. You have kept that from happening, but it takes constant tending. The boundaries that protect you are not selfish. They are what let you keep giving. A person who disappears cannot care for anyone for long. Your presence depends on your not vanishing. Keep guarding the small space that is only yours, and do not apologize for it. When you feel yourself starting to fade into the roles, name one thing that is just for you and protect it that day. You are not only a daughter, a parent, a worker. You are also a person, and that person deserves to survive this too.
