How do I cope when the discipline and structure feel overwhelming?
The discipline and structure feel like they are crushing you, and that is a hard place to start from. When everything is rules and demands, it can feel like there is no room left to breathe. Feeling overwhelmed does not mean you are weak or unfit. It means you are still adjusting to a whole new way of living. Structure feels like a cage at first and becomes a frame later. Right now every rule is a thing you have to think about. In time, they become automatic, and what feels like pressure now will feel like steadiness. The overwhelm is the sound of learning, not of failing. Stop trying to master all of it at once. Pick one part of the routine and aim only to do that well today. Let the rest be rough for now. Master one piece, then the next, and the structure slowly becomes yours instead of something done to you.
