How do I deal with friction and pressure in my unit?
You have found your place in the unit, and that is no small thing. But being part of a team does not remove the friction between people or the pressure pressing on all of you. It just puts you inside it. The rub you feel is normal. Any group of people under strain will grind against each other. It does not mean the team is broken or that you do not belong. Friction is often just closeness under load. People who depend on each other will step on each other. The pressure makes small things feel large. The trick is to not take every spark as a fire. Most of it is people being tired and human, not people being against you. Learn to tell the difference between real conflict and ordinary wear. When something rubs, deal with it small and direct before it grows. A short honest word with the person, face to face, settles more than a week of stewing. Pick the one bit of friction that bothers you most and address it plainly this week. You will find the pressure is lighter when the air between you is clear.
