How do I deal with my best work always serving someone else's goals?

You can arm a whole team to win, and yet the wins land on someone else's scoreboard. That is the quiet ache of the enablement role: your best work becomes their number, their bonus, their recognition, while your part stays behind the curtain. Being tired of that is not pettiness. It is a fair response to doing essential work that is easy for others to overlook. But consider what you actually are in that picture. You are the force multiplier. One rep can win one deal; you make dozens of reps better at once. That leverage is rare and valuable, even when the credit does not flow to you directly. The problem is not the value of your work. It is that the current setup lets it stay invisible. So do two things. Start tracking your own impact in plain terms, ramp time, win rates, before and after you, so the value has a face and a number of its own. And decide honestly whether you are getting enough, in growth, in recognition, in pay, to keep giving this. You may choose to stay. But choose it, rather than quietly resenting it.
