How do I deal with people ignoring the uncertainty in my work?

You build rigorous models and take real care to quantify the uncertainty, the honest range around your answer. Then you watch people grab the single number and throw the uncertainty away. That is genuinely tiring, because the uncertainty is not a footnote to you; it is part of the truth. Seeing the truth simplified into something false wears on you. Here is what is happening. People crave certainty, and a range feels like weakness to them even though it is really honesty. They are not disrespecting your work; they simply do not know how to hold ambiguity, so they discard it. The gap is not in your analysis. It is in how the uncertainty gets carried into a decision. So make the uncertainty impossible to ignore by making it useful. Instead of a range they can shrug off, tell them what it means for the choice in front of them: if it lands here, do this; if it lands there, do that. Turn the uncertainty into a plan rather than a caveat. When people can act on it, they stop throwing it away. You cannot force them to love ambiguity, but you can hand it to them in a shape they can actually use.
