How do I fix chaotic processes at work?
Everything feels ad hoc. Work gets done through heroics and luck, things fall through the cracks, and you know it should be more orderly but designing that order feels beyond you. That overwhelm is understandable. Chaos is loud, and it is hard to think clearly in the middle of it. You do not fix chaos by designing the perfect system for everything at once. You fix it by choosing one painful, repeating mess and giving just that one a clear, simple sequence of steps. Order spreads from small proven wins, not from grand plans imposed all at once. So find the process that hurts most, the thing that goes wrong again and again, and map out a few clear steps for handling it. Keep it simple enough that people will actually use it. When that one stops being chaos, you will have both a working piece and the confidence that you can design the next. Start there, not everywhere.
