How do I get my team to actually care?
You want people to care, and right now it feels like you are the only one who does. That is a heavy, lonely place to lead from. But caring cannot be ordered into existence. It grows when people feel their work matters and that someone notices whether they show up fully or not. Start by asking why the work should matter to them, not just to you or the company. People care about things connected to their own lives, pride, and growth. When you can honestly link a task to something they value, motivation stops being something you inject and starts being something they own. And they watch how you carry your own work more than they listen to your words. Pick one person this week and learn what actually drives them. Not what should, but what does. Then connect their work to it, in plain words. You are not a cheerleader trying to fake energy. You are someone helping people remember there is a reason to give a damn.
