How do I handle demanding clients with big egos?
You can manage clients well now, but the most demanding, high-ego ones still rattle you. Those clients are exhausting because they push, test, and make everything feel like a challenge to meet. But their bluster is usually not about you. Big egos are often loud on the outside because something feels uncertain on the inside, and they cover it by dominating the room. You do not have to win against them or shrink before them. You steady these clients by staying calm and competent while they bluster, not matching their heat. When you remain unshaken and clearly know your work, their pushing has nothing to grab. Give them the respect they crave and the straight answers they secretly need, and most of the drama drains out. With the next difficult one, decide in advance not to take the bait when they push. Stay even, answer plainly, hold your ground quietly. You are not there to beat their ego. You are there to be the calm professional it cannot rattle.
