You don't need to become an accountant. You need to understand your own operation's few key figures. Start with one number. Track your real cost to produce your main crop or product this season, start to finish. Just that one figure will change how you see every decision. The business won't defeat you once you stop treating it as one big fog and break it into pieces you can hold.
