How do I keep advocating for my needs without burning out?
Having to ask for the same thing again and again is its own kind of tired. It is not just the effort; it is the message underneath, that what you need is treated as a favor instead of a fact. That wears down even strong people. Your weariness makes sense. You are not wrong to need what you need, and you are not too much for asking. The problem is that repeated asks land on memory, and memory fails. Where you can, turn the ask into something written down, something agreed, so you are not starting from zero each time. This week, take one thing you keep having to repeat and get it put in writing, in an email or a plan. Let the record carry some of the weight you have been carrying alone. You should not have to spend all your energy just to be met.
