How do I learn to delegate instead of doing everything myself?
You know you are supposed to hand tasks to the aides, but somehow you end up doing all of it yourself, and by noon you are drowning. That pattern is common in people who care a lot and hold themselves to a high bar. It is not a character flaw. It is a habit you can change. Look honestly at why you keep doing everything. Maybe it feels faster to just do it, maybe you worry it will not be done right, maybe asking feels like being a burden. All of those are understandable, and all of them quietly guarantee you go under every shift. Doing it all is not actually the caring choice. It is the choice that leaves you too depleted to give your best where it truly matters. Start small and specific. Pick two or three tasks that genuinely do not need your license, and hand them off clearly at the start of the shift, not in a panic at the end. Be direct about what you need, because a clear ask is a kindness, not an imposition. It will feel uncomfortable at first, and clunky. Do it anyway. Protecting your own footing through the shift is not selfish. It is what lets you still be a good nurse at hour ten.
