How do I make the knowledge I share actually stick with my team?
Sharing what you know is one thing. Making it stick and spread beyond you is another, and it's genuinely hard. You explain something well, and a month later you're the only one who remembers. That's not a failure of your teaching. It's how knowledge works when it lives in conversations instead of in something people can return to. Knowledge sticks when it's written down where people look, and when they use it, not just hear it. A great explanation you gave once fades. A rough doc someone can find, follow, and update outlives any conversation. Scaling yourself means moving what's in your head into a place the team can reach without you. Pick the one thing people keep asking you about and write it down once, plainly, where they can find it. Then, next time someone asks, point them there instead of re-explaining. You'll feel the difference the first time the doc answers a question you never had to.
