How do I stop clashing with artists and engineers?
You design in a vacuum and then clash with the artists and engineers when your work meets theirs. That collision is common, and it does not mean you are difficult. It means good ideas are meeting each other late, after each side has already grown attached to its own. The clash usually is not about who is right. It is about people defending work they built alone. When you bring others in early, before your design is finished, there is less to defend and more to build together. The vacuum is the real problem, not the people you meet at its edge. Next project, pull one artist and one engineer in before you have it all figured out. Ask what they see, and let their view shape the work while it is still soft. You lose a little control and gain far fewer battles. Design with them, not at them, and the clashes quiet down.
