You can navigate a dataset now, so this is not about technique anymore. Missing the one pattern that mattered usually happens because you looked where you expected the story to be, not where it actually was. The eye finds what it is hunting for and skips the rest. Slow your certainty down. Look at the data more than one way: different cuts, different groups, the outliers you would normally ignore. Ask what would surprise you, and go check that. The whole story often hides in the segment or the oddity you were tempted to dismiss. One small step: on your next dataset, deliberately examine one slice you assume is boring.
