How do I stop taking code review comments personally?

Every review comes back covered in comments, and each one lands like a verdict on you rather than the code. That is an exhausting way to work. But a wall of comments on a pull request is not a wall of judgments on your worth. It is how the work gets better, and it happens to strong engineers too. The code is not you. When a reviewer flags a line, they are improving a shared thing, not weighing your value as a person. The best engineers you admire get plenty of comments. The difference is they read them as information, not as a scorecard. Try a small shift. Read each comment as one question, what would make this better, not what is wrong with me. Fix what makes sense, ask about what does not, and let it go once it is handled. Track how much you learn from reviews over a month. You will see growth where you used to see only failure.
