How do I teach others the skill everyone relies on me for?

You can solve almost anything, and so everything hard flows to you. It feels like value, and it is, but it has also made you the bottleneck: nothing that needs your gift can happen without you. The instinct you have is real, but because you have never learned to hand it over, you have become both the hero and the chokepoint. That is a heavy place to stand. The thing you call instinct is not magic, even if it feels like it. It is a set of moves you make so fast you have stopped seeing them. That is exactly why it is hard to teach: the steps have gone underground into reflex. Teaching starts with slowing yourself down enough to watch your own thinking, to notice the questions you ask and the guesses you make without knowing you make them. So next time a hard one lands on your desk, do not just solve it. Bring one other person along and narrate what you are doing as you do it, out loud, including the dead ends. It will feel slow and clumsy at first. But that is you turning a private instinct into something another person can carry, and that is the only way you stop being the bottleneck.
