How do I tell if my demo is landing when I keep losing the room?

You can march through every feature, but you finish with no idea whether anyone was with you. That blind feeling is uncomfortable, and it usually means the demo has become a monologue. When you are focused on covering everything, there is no room left to notice the people you are covering it for. The way back into the room is to stop and ask. Pause after a key point and check: does this fit how you work today? A question hands the floor back to them and tells you instantly whether it landed. Silence and blank faces are not proof they are engaged; they are a signal to slow down and pull them in. In your next demo, build in two or three deliberate stops where you ask something and wait for a real answer. It will feel slower, and it will keep you from talking to a wall. You do not need to fill every second. You need to know they are still there, and the only way to know is to ask.
