How do I turn followers into a real community?

Posting and community are two different things, and it is easy to confuse them. Posting is you talking. Community is people talking to each other because of you. You have the first. The second feels out of reach because it follows different rules. A community forms when people feel seen and when they connect to one another, not just to you. That means less broadcasting and more inviting. Ask questions you actually want answered. Reply like a person, not a brand. Notice regulars by name. The goal is to make the room feel like theirs, not yours. Start small this week. Instead of posting an update, ask your people one real question and reply to every answer. Do that a few times and you will feel it shift, strangers starting to talk to strangers. That is the seed of community. You do not build it by speaking louder. You build it by making room for them.
