I have a vision but cannot get anyone to follow it. What do I do?

A vision that lives only in your head feels obvious to you and invisible to everyone else. You see the whole picture. They see a few words and a lot of daily work that has not changed. The gap is not that they doubt you. It is that they cannot yet see what you see, because you have not shown it in a way they can use. People follow a direction they understand and believe in. That means less grand language and more plain answers to simple questions: Where are we going? Why does it matter? What do you want me to do differently on Monday? If those three answers are fuzzy, no amount of passion will pull people along. Start with one person, not the whole crowd. Explain the vision to a single trusted colleague and ask them to say it back to you. Where they get it wrong is exactly where your message is unclear. Fix that, then widen the circle. A vision spreads person by person, not all at once.
