Is driving for an app really being my own boss?

On paper you are your own boss. So use the freedom you do have with intention, and stop trusting the system to look out for you, because it will not. Track your real earnings per hour, not the busy feeling. Know your true costs. Keep an eye on other options and build something that is not fully at the app's mercy, savings, a skill, a second door. The app will always act in its interest. Your job is to act in yours, with clear eyes.
