Is roofing worth the risk for the pay?

If roofing is the best of your real options today, then it is worth it for now, and you can respect yourself for doing hard work others won't. That does not mean forever. Use this time to get safer and to get ahead. Never cut corners on the gear or the risk; the money means nothing if you are hurt. And put a little aside or learn a skill that could move you up or out. Decide with your eyes open, not out of fear and not out of habit.
