What questions should I ask in a job interview?

When they ask 'do you have any questions,' saying 'no' is a missed chance — good questions show you're serious and help you decide if this place is right for you. Never ask something you could have googled; ask what only they can answer. Ask about the real work and the real team: 'What does success look like in this role in the first year?' 'What's the biggest challenge the person in this job will face?' 'How would you describe the team and how it works together?' 'Why is this role open?' These tell you far more than the polished job description. And read the answers, not just collect them. Do they hesitate? Do they speak well of the last person? An interview goes two ways — you're deciding about them as much as they're deciding about you. Real questions turn it into a conversation, and that's where you learn whether you actually want the job.
