What do I do when I only love a tiny part of my job?

Almost every worthwhile job is like this. The part you love sits at the center, and around it grows a thick ring of admin, process, and noise that has to be done to reach it. Five percent that matters is not unusual, and it does not mean you are in the wrong place. It means you are in a real job, where the good work is earned by getting through the rest. Still, ninety-five percent is a lot to wade through, so the question is how to change the ratio even a little. Some of that noise is truly necessary. Some of it is only there out of habit, or because no one has questioned it, or because it quietly became yours without anyone deciding it should be. This week, look hard at the ninety-five and find one task that does not actually need you. Delegate it, simplify it, or stop doing it and see if anyone notices. Protect the five percent like it is the point, because it is. Winning back even a few hours a week for the work you love changes the whole feel of the job.
