What do I do when the tools and workload overwhelm me?

You are trying to keep pace with something built to never slow down. Of course it overwhelms you. The volume does not care how hard you work, and the tools keep multiplying. Feeling like you cannot keep up is not a flaw in you. It is the honest size of the problem. So stop measuring yourself against finishing. You will never reach the bottom of it, and chasing that will only wear you out. Measure yourself instead against handling the most important thing in front of you, well, right now. Start tomorrow by choosing one thing that matters most and giving it your full attention before you touch anything else. The rest will still be there, but you will have done the thing that counted first.
