What happens to my trade when apps replace it?

You spent years learning to make a building safe. Locks, doors, weak points others walk past without seeing. That skill was real, and it protected people who never knew your name. A screen and a code doing part of it now does not erase that. Trades change. They always have. The tools shift, but the thing underneath your work does not: the eye for where something can go wrong, and the care to fix it before it does. Apps do not have that. They need someone who does. So look at what only you can offer. Spend a little time this week learning where the new systems are weak, and let your old judgment sit on top of the new tools. You are not being replaced. You are being asked to bring what you know to a different kind of door.
