What responsibility do I have for what my work shows people?

You make things that shape how people see the world, and you are beginning to feel the responsibility in that. It is easy in your field to think of the work as just entertainment or a product to ship. But you know better now: what you put on a screen enters people's minds and quietly shapes what they believe is normal, true, or possible. That is real power, and power carries responsibility. This does not mean every piece must be a lesson, or that you should preach. It means being honest about what your work says, even between the lines, and refusing to sell people something false just because it is easier or pays. You do not have to be perfect or pure. You do have to be awake to what you are actually putting into the world. So bring one honest question to your next project: what does this teach people to feel or believe, whether or not it means to? Sit with the answer. You will not always control how work is received, but choosing to make it with awareness, rather than pretending it is weightless, is how you carry the responsibility you have started to feel.
