Why can't I grow an audience even though I keep making content?

Making content that goes nowhere is one of the most discouraging feelings there is, because you are doing the work and the silence does not seem to care. But cannot grow almost never means the effort is wrong. It usually means one fixable thing is missing, and effort alone cannot find it. The most common reason is that the content is good but forgettable, or it is for no one in particular. If it does not clearly help, move, or speak to a specific kind of person, it slides past everyone. Growth comes when someone thinks this is exactly for me and shows it to someone else like them. Volume without that spark just adds more quiet. So stop and study, do not just produce. Look at your few best pieces, the ones that got any response at all, and ask what they had in common. Make more of that, on purpose, for the specific person it reached. One clear direction beats a hundred scattered posts. Find the thing that landed, and follow it.
